Culinary Cafe Menu
Summer 2026
Project Overview
While in high school, I had the opportunity to create a menu for the
culinary cafe at my Career Tech school. After my first year in design
school, I decided to use my newfound knowledge to create a more
cohesive and systematic design.
Background Information
The logo for the culinary cafe, 68 Hundred Bistro, was created by a previous graduate. I was tasked with designing a menu system that worked harmoniously with the logo. The menu also had to be versatile; new menus would be produced every two weeks with different items.
Sketches
For my initial menus, I created three different layout ideas. In the end, elements from all three layouts were used in finalizing my design.
Draft
A little less than 50 students each sent in a layout draft to the culinary instructors for review. This is the point in the process where I learned that my final design would be used in the physical cafe.

Redesign
For my new and improved menu, I wanted to keep the same overall elements from my previous work. Keeping the typography, colors, and layout while implementing things like a grid and edited photos helped take my design to the next level.
